On September 14 (12th day of the 8th lunar month), People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi held a ceremony to commemorate the death anniversary of her profession at the 5B Drama Theater (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) with the participation of many artists, students and audiences.
At the ceremony, Trinh Kim Chi announced that she would use all the money from the offerings and donations from artists and philanthropists to help people in the North overcome natural disasters and floods. When talking about the difficulties that people in the flood-hit areas are facing, the female artist was speechless.

Trinh Kim Chi emotionally shared: "As everyone knows, the storm and flood situation in the North is very critical. Every day I follow the news and feel truly heartbroken. On the occasion of the anniversary of the profession's founder this year, I would like to use all the offerings from artists, benefactors, and audiences to donate to support our compatriots in the North.
As a native of Hanoi, when I heard the news about the storm and flood, I could not hold back my tears. I thank the artists and colleagues who joined hands."
Actress Dao Van Anh - Trinh Kim Chi's colleague - also expressed her emotion at the hearts of artists and audiences for the people of the North. The actress said that no matter how much money is donated, it is not as great as the love between people.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, artist Kieu Trinh said that despite her busy schedule, every year she spends 3 days to burn incense for her ancestors at the stage locations. The female artist said that thanks to the ancestors' love, she has the health to do her job, no matter where she performs, she is not tired, on the contrary, she is very excited.
The female artist further revealed that 2 weeks ago, she went to Cao Bang to film. It was a business trip that made her emotional. The day she returned to the South, she was heartbroken when she saw the news of the tragic storm and flood in the North. To her, this was the pain of the entire nation.

Attending the ceremony, "Calendar Beauty" Hien Mai choked up while offering incense to the profession's ancestors. The female artist said that she was lucky that her artistic path was always enlightened by the profession's ancestors.
Hien Mai confided: "Coming to burn incense to pay respect to the ancestors, seeing my colleagues still safe and healthy makes me happy. For me, being an artist is happiness. I hope the stage will always be lit so that artists will always have good works to dedicate to the audience."

MC Nguyen Khang, although not active in the theater, still takes time every year to offer incense to his ancestors. For him, the anniversary of his profession is a reminder for artists to practice their talents and virtues every day.
"Now the elimination of the profession is quite fast compared to many years ago. Therefore, if an artist stays still and is satisfied with himself, he may fall behind. So I tell myself to try harder and strive to be worthy of the love of the audience. Because the audience is the one who gives me the opportunity to live and contribute to the profession," the male MC shared.
