The Straits Times reported on September 4 that Whiteline Group will apply this policy until the end of this year, according to which employees will be given paid leave to find partners on the dating app Tinder.

“Our employees can use Tinder leave to date other people,” Whiteline Group posted on LinkedIn.

The company did not specify how many days of leave are covered under this policy. In addition, the company also covers the cost of Tinder Gold and Tinder Platinum upgrades for all employees. The advantage of the upgrades is that account holders can see who has “liked” them, along with incentives to increase the chances of finding a suitable match.

A company in Thailand has just implemented a "Tinder leave" policy for employees.

The initiative is designed to improve employee well-being. The company believes that being in love increases happiness, which in turn increases productivity. Whiteline Group executives also point to research that shows that love increases happiness and makes work more enjoyable.

According to the New York Post , the initiative was launched by the Whiteline Group, a company with about 200 employees, after overhearing an employee complaining that she was too busy to date. Employees who want to use Tinder leave will need to give a week's notice.

When the announcement was made, most employees were surprised and excited. One female employee took advantage of the opportunity to date when the regulation was issued.
