NDO – The Central Council for Evaluation and Classification of OCOP products has just decided to recognize 28 more products that have achieved the National 5-star OCOP certification. Of which, the food group has 21 products, the medicinal group has 2 products, the tourism group has 2 products, the beverage group has 2 products, and the handicraft group has 1 product.
According to the Central Office for New Rural Area Coordination, by the end of 2024, the country will have 14,642 OCOP products with 3 stars or more, of which 73.2% are 3-star products, 23.5% are 4-star products, 51 are 5-star products, and the rest are 5-star potential. There are 8,086 OCOP entities , of which 32.7% are cooperatives, 24.1% are small enterprises, 42.7% are production establishments, business households, and the rest are cooperative groups.
Of the 52 applications for 5-star OCOP evaluation and classification of provinces and cities, 28 products were recognized as 5-star OCOP by the Central OCOP product evaluation and classification council. Of these, 21 products in the food group include: Dinh tea of Hao Dat Tea Cooperative, Thai Nguyen province; Ba Che yellow flower tea of Dap Thanh Forestry Trading Joint Stock Company, Quang Ninh province; Thanh Ba purple bud tea of UT Tea Investment and Development Company Limited, Phu Tho province; Clean rice noodles from Hung Lo village of Hung Lo Rice Noodle Cooperative, Phu Tho province; Ready-to-cut sour bamboo shoots of Kim Boi Joint Stock Company, Hoa Binh province; Instant dried bamboo shoots of Kim Boi Joint Stock Company, Hoa Binh province; Le Gia fish sauce of Le Gia Food and Trading Service Company Limited, Thanh Hoa province; Khe Sanh coffee of Khe Sanh agricultural cooperative, Quang Tri province; Quy Thu grilled coconut cake of Quy Thu Production and Trading Company Limited, Quang Nam province; Tri Tin dehydrated seaweed of Tri Tin Company Limited, Khanh Hoa province; Phuong Di honey of Phuong Di Bee Honey Cooperative, Gia Lai province; Dak Lak premium macadamia nuts of DAMACA Nguyen Phuong Joint Stock Company, Dak Lak province; Kien Cuong civet coffee of Kien Cuong One Member Cooperative, Dak Lak province; Super thin rice paper of Tan Nhien Company Limited, Tay Ninh province; Palm sugar syrup of Palmania Joint Stock Company, An Giang province; Palm sugar syrup of Palmania Joint Stock Company, An Giang province; Palm sugar syrup powder of Palmania Joint Stock Company, An Giang province; Soursop tea of Travipha Company Limited, Tien Giang province; Boneless and spiced snakehead fish of Ky Nhu Cooperative, Hau Giang province; Dried purple sweet potatoes of Dong Phat Food Company Limited, Vinh Long province; Freeze-dried durian of Sau Ri Company Limited, Vinh Long province.
The Beverage Group has 2 products: SNOR'S WINE of Ut Tay Traditional Craft Wine Production Facility, Hau Giang Province; Ut Tay Cordyceps Old Wine of Ut Tay Traditional Craft Wine Production Facility, Hau Giang Province.
The group of medicinal herbs and medicinal products has 2 products: health protection food Cao Ca Gai Leo of An Xuan Organic Medicinal Herbs Company Limited, Quang Tri province; health protection food SAPHRATON of Sam Sam Company Limited, Quang Nam province.
The Handicraft Group has 1 product, which is the Bamboo and Rattan Table Lamp Group of Duc Phong Company Limited, Nghe An province.
The Community Tourism, Ecotourism and Tourist Destination Services Group has 2 products: Tay ethnic cultural tourism in Thai Hai village of Thai Hai Thai Nguyen Company Limited; Ecohost Hai Hau of Ecohost Consulting and Investment Joint Stock Company (Hai Hau Branch).

The company aims for guests to experience good accommodation, cultural life, customs and colors of the indigenous people. In addition, the company also supports the community in consuming local products.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam assessed that the products are produced and processed in association with local advantages and strengths; have beautiful packaging and designs, suitable for product characteristics, exploit cultural values, and have the capacity to develop the market. In the coming time, the subjects will continue to improve and enhance product quality, instructions on product origin in association with local advantages, values and identities. Focus and pay attention to environmental protection, fully implement environmental protection regulations in production and business activities.
