Announcement of the decision to establish the School Council of the Western Construction School

On the morning of November 18, the Western University of Construction held the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year; celebrated the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20; announced and awarded the decision to recognize the School Council for the 2024-2029 term and announced the decision to award certificates of educational quality accreditation for 4 university-level training programs.

Over 47 years of construction and development, the Western University of Construction has continuously developed and become a prestigious institution in training high-quality human resources in the construction field for the region and the whole country.

The school currently has more than 2,000 students, including nearly 500 new students. The school offers 7 majors with 19 majors.

At the ceremony, the representative of the Ministry of Construction announced and presented the decision to establish a 15-member University Council. Dr. Truong Cong Bang, Vice Rector of the University, holds the position of Chairman of the University Council of the Western University of Construction, term 2024-2029.

Deputy Minister of Construction Pham Minh Ha spoke at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Construction Pham Minh Ha emphasized that the Western University of Construction is one of four universities under the Ministry of Construction. The school is training high-quality human resources for the construction industry; it is one of the prestigious training institutions in the Mekong Delta region and the whole country in training masters of engineering, architects, and bachelors of other economic fields for the country.

94.2% of the university's graduates have jobs. Graduates have participated in many important, large-scale, technically complex projects and works in the Mekong Delta, contributing to the country's industrialization and modernization.

Quality accreditation recognition for 4 university majors of Western University of Construction.

At the ceremony, the school received a certificate of educational quality accreditation for 4 undergraduate training programs in the following majors: Water supply and drainage engineering; Traffic construction engineering; Architecture and Accounting.

On this occasion, the School awarded full scholarships to 9 new students with high achievements with an amount of 655 million VND; awarded scholarships and rewards to students with good achievements in the 2023-2024 school year.
