TPO - On February 19, the People's Council of Bac Giang province passed a resolution on the investment policy for the construction of Ha Bac 1 bridge and connecting road to Bac Ninh province, with a total value of about 1,700 billion VND.
Accordingly, Bac Giang and Bac Ninh are two bordering provinces, separated by the Cau River. In recent times, the two provinces have actively coordinated in planning and investing in developing transport infrastructure to enhance connectivity between the two provinces.
Up to now, a number of traffic works connecting Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces have been invested in, however, traffic connecting the two provinces is still difficult, not creating the motivation to exploit and maximize the potential and advantages of each locality, supporting and promoting each other for mutual development.
Ha Bac 1 Bridge is located on Highway 298B of Bac Giang province and Highway 295C of Bac Ninh province, connecting Highway 398 (Bac Giang Province's Ring Road IV) with National Highway 18 (QL18). This is a very important project in connecting the traffic networks of the two provinces.

The completed construction project will form a new traffic gateway, connecting Bac Giang province with Bac Ninh province, helping to gradually complete the regional traffic system and urban infrastructure of Viet Yen; opening up new space and driving force to promote economic development, cultural and social exchange between the two provinces and the region.
Ha Bac 1 Bridge is built at a location determined according to the planning of Bac Ninh province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister. Ha Bac 1 Bridge has a width of 22.5m, built as a permanent bridge with reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete. The length of the bridge is about 970m; the approach roads on both sides of the bridge are invested according to the approved planning, ensuring connection with the regional traffic system.
The total investment is about 1,700 billion VND. The project will carry out investment preparation work in 2025, expected to start construction in 2026, and be completed in 2027.
