The General Medicine training program at Dai Nam University is taught 100% in English, with Vietnamese and Indian lecturers, with a 6-year training program: 2 years of theory, 4 years of study and clinical practice.
According to a representative of Dai Nam University, Vietnam is becoming a new destination for international medical education, in which Dai Nam University is the pioneer university in the North attracting Indian students to study general medicine.
“Currently, the demand for medical training in India is very large. Statistics show that each year, more than 2.3 million students take the entrance exam but there are only 112,000 places available, and tuition fees are quite high. Meanwhile, Vietnam is a place with high quality training, rich practice, reasonable costs, a team of good doctors, and a diverse hospital system, which can help students access many advanced medical models,” said a representative of Dai Nam University.
According to the school representative, the medical training program at Dai Nam University is taught 100% in English, with lecturers from Vietnam and India, with a systematic 6-year training program: 2 years of theory, 4 years of study and clinical practice. In addition, the school has modern facilities, laboratories, comfortable dormitories; and a cooperation strategy with Indian partners to expand the scale of international training.
Mr. Le Dac Lam - Vice Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University said: “In the 2025-2026 academic year, Dai Nam University will welcome 100 Indian students to study General Medicine. Cooperation with Indian partners not only helps students realize their medical dreams but also makes Vietnam a potential center for training doctors in the region. We aim to expand our scale to welcome thousands of international students in the future.”
Ms. Deepa Ranganathan, representative of the Indian partner, shared: “The cooperation program with Dai Nam University opens a new direction for medical education in Vietnam. We believe in the quality of teaching, modern facilities and long-term commitment of the school”.
With a plan to improve the quality of international medical training and expand cooperation with major hospitals, Dai Nam University not only improves the quality of training but also aims to contribute to making Vietnam an ideal destination for global medical students.
