Anh Khue shared that she was lucky to be born into a family with parents who always supported all her wishes and interests in her academic path. “Before, I didn’t know what my strengths were or what field I was suitable for. There was a time when I really liked studying design, my parents also created conditions for me to study drawing, but then I realized I didn’t have the ability so I gave up. After that, my father oriented me to study medicine but I was very afraid of blood,” Anh Khue said. After a period of hesitation, Anh Khue decided to apply to the economic law program of the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City. And after 4 years of effort, Anh Khue completed her bachelor’s program with an excellent degree. Because she realized the suitability and love for this field of study, she continued to register for a master’s degree. “Nowadays, most people have a bachelor’s degree, so I want to continue studying to gain more knowledge. Besides, during my time working, I noticed that my colleagues, even though they were very good and had a lot of experience, still continued to study. So why can’t I, who am young and have the means, do it?”, Mr. Khue shared.

When asked how to remember everything with a large amount of knowledge and having to learn quite dry laws, Mr. Khue said: "People often have the view that studying law requires memorizing all the laws. But in fact, there is a large amount of knowledge that cannot be remembered all. My way of studying is to grasp the general overview. And the important thing is how I understand the issue, not necessarily having to memorize or remember specifically which article number, which clause...". Studying and working after 2 years, Mr. Khue continued to conquer her master's degree and she was also the valedictorian . Sharing about the difficulties she encountered during her 6 years of studying in the lecture hall, Mr. Khue said: "I was lucky because I never felt pressured by studying. My parents never forced me to be at the top of the class. If I had to say the most difficult time, it was only during the first period of studying for my master's degree, when I had to balance going to class with going to work. As soon as I got off work, I rushed to class without having time to eat, going through a long period of staying up late and waking up early. But in the end, everything passed." After the long journey, Anh Khue concluded that to study well in any field, the most important thing is to have a direction and know what you are studying for. "If you have a clear direction, you will have a goal to aim for. That is also the motivation for me to constantly strive," said Anh Khue.

From shy girl to image of global citizen

Currently working in a multinational company, Anh Khue realizes that soft skills are really important. “Before, I was introverted, shy and rarely interacted with anyone. But since going to university, the environment has changed and there are many opportunities to express myself, I have learned many more things. The biggest success that makes me proud of myself during my university years is not my academic results but the skills I have practiced and cultivated,” Anh Khue expressed. As a student, Anh Khue cultivated soft skills by actively participating in activities, competitions and volunteer programs. In particular, she and some other students founded a club to interact with international students. Sharing about the necessary skills when wanting to work in multinational companies, Anh Khue said: "To work in multinational companies, there are 3 skills that need to be well equipped for yourself. First is English, because all communication is in a foreign language. Second, always have a positive attitude and proactive spirit when communicating and working, this is one of the KPI evaluation criteria of large enterprises. Third, carefulness and comprehensiveness; because the output quality is the face and important factor that affects the reputation of large enterprises, so it is necessary to be careful to produce the most complete product. In addition, when working, it is also necessary to pay attention to the culture of the company and foreign colleagues".
