According to the plan to implement the "National Strategy on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms by 2030" in Binh Duong province: In the period of 2023-2025, the goal is to reduce the rate of tobacco use among men aged 15 and over to below 39%; among women aged 15 and over, maintain a reduction of below 1.4%. Reduce the rate of passive exposure to tobacco smoke: At the workplace below 30%; at restaurants below 75%; at bars and cafes below 80%, at hotels below 60%. In the period of 2026 - 2030, reduce the rate of tobacco use among men aged 15 and over to below 36%; among women aged 15 and over maintain or reduce below 1%. Maintain and reduce the rate of passive exposure to tobacco smoke: At the workplace below 25%; at restaurants below 65%; at bars, cafes down to 70%, at hotels down to 50%.

To achieve this goal, a series of solutions have been proposed, including promoting the role of authorities, schools and families, focusing on propaganda work, especially targeting vulnerable groups such as teenagers and students.

In fact, propaganda work on the harmful effects of tobacco has been given much attention by localities and agencies in recent times. However, whether the propaganda content reaches the right target audience or not, and how effective it is, is difficult to assess!

Some opinions also say that there are some subjects who do not have the conditions, or do not have much access to information channels, so the propaganda has not been effective. Shouldn't, in addition to propaganda and mobilization, each person, especially adults, boldly speak up when seeing these ugly images. The determination and timely speaking up not only protects the people around but also serves as a reminder to those teenagers that "showing off" is not about smoking at a young age, but about their own efforts in working, studying, training...
