Vietnam has its first international standard music chart

According to IFPI, the results of The Official Vietnam Chart are a combination of streaming on popular global platforms in general and in Vietnam in particular such as Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify and YouTube. These charts are managed by IFPI and built on data provided by BMAT - a music innovation technology company with the mission of gathering all data on music usage and ownership.

This chart will be released every Tuesday, alongside charts from five other Southeast Asian markets including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. To show the level of detail, many countries also have specialized charts, only for domestic artists such as Indonesia has a domestic chart, Singapore has a regional chart, Malaysia has a domestic chart and China...

This can be said to be a milestone marking the professional development and international standards of the Vietnamese music market, when data on listening, popularity, etc. are accurately collected, thereby honestly reflecting the vibrant music picture right in our country. Besides, it also shows the trends as well as the continuous movement of the country's music industry.

Commenting on the launch of this chart, Ms. Lisa Nguyen - Managing Director of Warner Music VN and member of the regional chart development committee, said: "The Official Vietnam Chart helps to explore the music consumption habits of audiences nationwide and provides an important platform to promote a vibrant and growing Vietnamese music scene. Combining this chart with other charts in the region will help fans better understand how their favorite songs are received outside the border, as well as support the discovery of more new hits."

Wren Evans is also known for the hit song "Once Familiar".

At the event, the "music picture" of 2024 was also reviewed. Accordingly, the top 10 most favorite songs (according to IFPI's records) are: Dung Lam Trai Tim Anh Dau and Chung Ta Cua Hien Tai (Son Tung M-TP), Nhung Loi Hua Bo Thon (Vu., Dear Jane), Ban Doi (Karik and GDucky), Chiu Cach Minh Say Thuat (Rhyder, CoolKid, BAN), Tung La (Vu Cat Tuong), Tung Quen (Wren Evans, itsnk), Buon Hay Vui (Vsoul, MCK, Obito...), Ngay Dep Troi Troi De Say Chia Tay (Lou Hoang), Sau Con Mua (CoolKid, Rhyder).

With 2 songs winning and runner-up in the top 10, Son Tung M-TP also became the most prominent artist in 2024. Right after him are Hieuthuhai, Vu., tlinh, Low G, Wren Evans, rapper Den, Rhyder, producer itsnk, rapper MCK.
