Applying digital transformation methods in the management of the Team's work, teacher Nguyen Dac Nhat Tan has created a useful playground for students in the mountainous region of Quang Tri.
After many years of efforts to apply digital transformation in managing the work of the Young Pioneers, teacher Nguyen Dac Nhat Tan (General Leader of the Young Pioneers, Tan Hop Primary and Secondary School, Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri) has achieved impressive results, most notably the model of the Young Reporters Club.
Mr. Nguyen Dac Nhat Tan received the Outstanding Young Teacher Award 2024 presented by the Central Youth Union.
At the end of 2022, after being instructed on the application of digital transformation in the activities of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, teacher Tan came up with the idea of implementing the Young Reporters Club model, creating an environment for students to improve their soft skills.
"In other provinces and cities, the Young Reporters Club has existed for a long time and created a useful playground for students. However, in Quang Tri in general and Huong Hoa district in particular, no unit has implemented it yet. Realizing that this is a good way, from the end of 2022, I started implementing it and calling on students to participate," said Mr. Tan.
The young reporters club met to discuss and plan a script to create a product.
After gathering a group of passionate students, Mr. Tan instructed them on how to use the equipment and come up with ideas for their products. Initially, the students focused on writing about typical examples and interesting things they did at school.
"Each member will take on a separate task such as writing the script, writing commentary, hosting the program... then creating a short report clip about typical examples and interesting work in the school. After a period of operation, the club has achieved great results," Mr. Tan shared.
A small studio with full recording and audio equipment... is installed in the school to serve the members of the Junior Reporters Club.
In February 2024, after Tan Hop Primary and Secondary School effectively operated the Young Reporter Club model, the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union instructed other schools in the area to apply it. The results did not stop there. At the end of 2025, Le Gia Han (class 7A2, member of the Young Reporter Club, Tan Hop Primary and Secondary School) submitted a product to the contest "A day as a young reporter on disaster prevention and control" and excelled over 6,000 other products nationwide to win the award for the most impressive clip.
The newspaper reading software was researched by Mr. Tan to post products about typical examples and good activities of Tan Hop Primary and Secondary School.
In addition to short videos for showing outside of class, Mr. Tan also researched and created a newspaper reading software to post products made by students with the target of releasing one product per month. During educational holidays or school activities, Mr. Tan and the Young Reporters Club create products on digital platforms, helping to increase interaction between teachers and students in both school and online spaces.
The Junior Reporter Club was expanded throughout Quang Tri province after Tan Hop Primary and Secondary School effectively applied it.
These impressive products, along with outstanding activities in teaching and Team management, helped Mr. Nguyen Dac Nhat Tan become one of two outstanding teachers in Quang Tri to receive the Outstanding Young Teacher Award in 2024 presented by the Central Youth Union.
Mr. Pham Xuan Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Council, said that after the Young Reporter Club model operated effectively, the unit had instructions for other schools in the province to implement it. Up to now, the Young Reporter Club model has spread to many schools from the center to remote villages of Quang Tri province. "Tan Hop Primary and Secondary School is the first unit to introduce the Young Reporter Club into the activities of the Youth Union and has brought high efficiency. The Provincial Youth Union Council has instructed other schools from the plains to the mountains to implement it, creating a beneficial environment for students to develop their skills," said Mr. Khanh.
