In celebration of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union and Vietnamese Women's Day, on the morning of October 17, the Provincial Women's Union organized an exchange program with outstanding Women's Union Chairmen in 2023 with the theme "responsibility, innovation, creativity, and real effectiveness".
Attending the program were comrades: Tran Song Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Do Viet Anh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; representatives of the Party Building Committees of the Provincial Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations of the province; Standing Committees of district and city Party Committees; representatives of the Women's Unions of districts and cities and 143 outstanding women's association heads in the province.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the leader of the Provincial Women's Union affirmed: In the general achievements of the Women's Union at all levels in the province in recent times, there has been a great contribution from the team of Women's Union Chairmen. Women's Union Chairmen are the ones who directly organize and implement the Union's activities. They are the extended arms of the union, propagating and mobilizing women members to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; organizing practical activities to take care of members. They have many creative ways of mobilizing members and women to participate in emulation movements and activities in the locality such as building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, etc.
Not only that, they are also active members of representative committees, working groups in villages, hamlets, and streets, participating in the work of their parishes and churches. Regardless of their position, they are always enthusiastic, responsible, and complete all assigned tasks well, and are appreciated and recognized by the Party Committee and government, and trusted by the people. In addition to social work, they are also grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and filial children, taking care of their families and educating their children.
At the program, the Women's Union Chairmen representing 8 districts and cities in the province participated in the exchange, shared experiences, and good practices in performing the duties of the chairmen; gathering women and developing members; helping women members escape poverty, stabilize their lives, and build happy families...
Through the program, we aim to commend and honor those who have made important contributions to the work of the Association and the women's movement in the province; to propagate and disseminate experiences and good practices of the Branch Presidents. Thereby, arousing and promoting the strength of solidarity, inspiring, creating motivation to successfully carry out assigned tasks, participating in building the homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized.
On this occasion, the Provincial Women's Union presented congratulatory flowers and awarded certificates of Outstanding Women's Union Presidents in 2023 to 143 women's union presidents.
