On the evening of December 16, at Thuy Dinh Stage, Hoa Lu Ancient Town (Ninh Binh City), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province coordinated with the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Lao PDR to organize an art performance program within the framework of "Lao Cultural Week in Vietnam 2023".
Attending the art performance were leaders of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Office of the Lao Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism; representatives of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; Vietnam National Academy of Music; Hanoi Opera House; artists of the Lao National Art Troupe; Ninh Binh Cheo Theatre.
The art program within the framework of "Lao Cultural Week in Vietnam 2023" brought special art performances including musical pieces, dances, musical instruments, circus performances... that clearly expressed the traditional cultural and artistic identity of the Lao people, praising the beauty of the country and the achievements in building, protecting and developing Laos such as: Beautiful Laos, My Country, Ngam Kip Champa dance, Naita Sam silk dance..., bringing the public moments of both enjoying art and discovering the cultural identity of the land of a million elephants. Along with that were art performances praising the beauty of the country and people of Vietnam such as: Hanoi, faith and hope, My Country...; praising the tradition of special and warm friendship and solidarity between the two countries Vietnam-Laos...
The event "Lao Cultural Week in Vietnam 2023" is organized to implement the Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Plan for the period 2021-2025 between the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Lao PDR and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. At the same time, this event also aims to celebrate major holidays of Laos, including the 48th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao PDR and the 103rd anniversary of the birth of President Kaysone Phomvihane.
Through the traditional singing, dancing and music program performed by Lao artists and Ninh Binh Cheo Theater, the audience will better understand the culture of Laos and Vietnam. This is also an opportunity to review the tradition of friendship between the two Parties, States and Peoples, looking forward to a future of increasingly strong and effective cooperation, contributing to consolidating and strengthening the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
