Quang Tri Development Joint Venture Company Limited (QTIP) is carrying out relevant procedures to soon build a wastewater treatment plant and prepare for the implementation of the next phase of the Quang Tri Industrial Park project.
The Quang Tri Industrial Park (IP) project was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 418/QD-TTg dated March 23, 2021. The project is invested by Quang Tri Development Joint Venture Company Limited - QTIP (a joint venture of 3 investors VSIP-Amata-Sumitomo).
Quang Tri Industrial Park Project has an area of about 481.2 hectares with a total investment of VND 2,074,033 billion. The project is built in 3 phases with implementation progress from 2021-2032. Of which, phase 1 has an area of about 96.05 hectares with a total investment of over VND 500 billion; implementation period 2021-2025 and officially started construction on December 15, 2023.

According to the Quang Tri Economic Zone Management Board, regarding the construction progress, the investor is currently constructing infrastructure and leveling the ground for an area of 96.05 hectares of phase 1. It is expected that in 2024, the project will complete the infrastructure and leveling of an area of 30 hectares; in 2025, 30 hectares will be completed; in 2026, 36.05 hectares will be completed.
Regarding the project's wastewater treatment plant construction item, the investor is currently completing related procedures to soon deploy this item by the end of 2024.
Also according to the Quang Tri Economic Zone Management Board, in phase 2, the total area of land to be recovered for the Quang Tri Industrial Park project is expected to be about 175 hectares, of which Hai Truong commune is 115 hectares and Dien Sanh town is 60 hectares.
According to the People's Committee of Hai Lang district, the resettlement plan for affected households in phase 2 has been carefully prepared, including resettlement arrangements in Truong Tho village and local cemeteries to relocate graves.
It is known that in phase 2, the Quang Tri Industrial Park project has an area of 175.42 hectares, expected to be implemented from 2026-2029. However, to proactively accelerate the implementation progress in the future, QTIP has currently selected a contractor to survey and mark all plots of land in phase 2 of the project. The survey and mark will be carried out by the contractor from the beginning of September 2024 and is expected to be completed within 3 months (December).
