On the afternoon of September 8, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training issued an urgent document requesting the Departments of Education and Training of districts, towns and educational institutions to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 and prepare to welcome students back to school.
Under the direction of the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Tran The Cuong, units and schools urgently review and count the damage to facilities, equipment, etc. of the units, and report to competent authorities. At the same time, proactively and urgently organize cleaning of classrooms, overcome the consequences of the storm and take measures to prevent epidemics, ensuring safety conditions when students return to school.
Schools that ensure safe learning conditions will welcome students back to school from September 9 according to the 2024-2025 school year schedule.
Schools have not yet ensured safe learning conditions due to the impact of the storm. For now, they have not organized teaching for students. At the same time, they have a plan to report to competent authorities to immediately remedy the damage caused by storm No. 3.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training requires that based on the practical conditions of the school, after overcoming the consequences caused by storm No. 3, the school principal reports to the competent authority to decide on the re-organization of the educational institution to ensure the school year schedule.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training also noted that during the time when classes are not held, teachers are required to go to school to join the authorities in cleaning up the school and classrooms, overcoming the consequences of the storm; at the same time, proactively develop a plan to make up for missed classes for students.
Previously, to ensure student safety, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced that students at all levels would be off from September 7 until the storm passes.
