Chairman of Ca Mau province dialogues with youth

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province hopes that union members and youth in the province need to promote their core role and strive to take the lead in all fields.

On December 13, Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province chaired the dialogue conference between the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province and young people in 2024, with the theme "Ca Mau youth volunteering for the community".

Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, shared and hoped that union members and young people would continue to promote their youthfulness and volunteer spirit for the community.

At the conference, youth union members raised questions related to issues of digital transformation implementation; support for startups and entrepreneurship; issues of vocational training policies, job creation for young people, policies and mechanisms to attract young human resources for the locality; orientation and handling of information on social networks, etc.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Trung, Deputy Secretary of Tan Bang Commune Youth Union (Thoi Binh district) said that currently, in the province, there are many cultural areas with potential for tourism exploitation, such as: Hung King Temple, Rach Giong Pagoda (Thoi Binh district), Xeo Duoc Provincial Party Committee base (Phu Tan district), U Minh Ha National Park...

"In the coming time, what solutions will the leaders of Ca Mau province have to improve the quality and efficiency of cultural and sports facilities?

In particular, exploiting the strengths of digital transformation in promoting the development of culture, sports and tourism contributes to promoting the province's tourism development," Mr. Trung raised the issue.

Responding to this issue, Mr. Tieu Minh Tien, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province, said that the Provincial People's Committee has issued many documents directing the preservation and promotion of relic values, directing the implementation of many activities to improve the quality and effectiveness of cultural institutions, including digital transformation.

"In the coming time, the Department will continue to strongly direct activities to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage to exploit and develop tourism. Promote the digitalization of heritage, apply digital technology platforms, and build heritage data to exploit and serve tourism," Mr. Tien added.

Speaking further on this issue, Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, said that through the 70th anniversary of the 1954 train trip to the North, there is a lot of tourism potential on the Chac Bang River (Thoi Binh district), but the exploitation has not been effective, including the role of youth union members.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province emphasized that in the current period, when the whole Party is focusing on preparing many important tasks, breaking through to reach a new era, the role and position of youth is extremely important.

Youth union members asked questions to the head of the Ca Mau provincial government.

"I hope that the union members and youth in the province will continuously study and improve their knowledge and skills. They will boldly apply information technology, update new knowledge, and actively and proactively participate in local volunteer campaigns and movements," said Mr. Ngai.

According to the head of the Ca Mau provincial government, the province is currently focusing on implementing the emulation movement to "eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", striving to completely resolve the problem of 4,400 temporary and dilapidated houses in the area by August 2025.

"This requires the entire political system, local Party committees and authorities, sectors, organizations and the community to join hands.

Therefore, the union members and youth in the area need to actively join hands to promptly support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province," Mr. Ngai emphasized.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province also noted that in the context of new opportunities and challenges, the union members and youth in the province need to promote their core role and strive to take the lead in all fields.

Thereby, continuing to promote youth and the spirit of volunteering for the community to fulfill their roles and responsibilities, worthy of being the right arm of the Party.
