Attending the launching ceremony of "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" - Spring At Ty 2025 in Lang Son on the morning of February 5, President Luong Cuong praised localities and units for their good and effective ways in the tree planting movement, implementing the Project to plant 1 billion trees.
This morning, President Luong Cuong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong, along with leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and a number of central ministries, departments and branches, leaders of the Provincial Party Committees and People's Committees of Lang Son, Cao Bang, Quang Ninh and Bac Giang provinces attended the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" - Spring At Ty 2025.
The ceremony took place at Battalion 1, Regiment 123, Chien Thang commune, Chi Lang district, Lang Son province, organized by the People's Committee of Lang Son province in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Luong Cuong emphasized that, following Uncle Ho's teachings, over the past 65 years, the movement "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" every time Tet comes and spring comes has become a fine tradition of the nation, with profound meaning in protecting the ecological environment and conserving nature.
In 2024, despite many difficulties and challenges, our country achieved very proud results. The whole country planted 254 thousand hectares of concentrated forests and 130 million scattered trees, contributing to proactively providing raw materials for the processing and export industry.
Forest cover is maintained at over 42%; forest protection has positive changes; forest environmental service revenue reaches 3,460 billion VND, up 10% compared to 2023; export value of wood and forest products reaches nearly 17.3 billion USD, exceeding the plan by 14%.
Along with the general results of the whole country, Lang Son province is one of the leading localities in forest management, protection and development.

On the occasion of the 2025 Tree Planting Festival, the President called on organizations, business communities, families and people to actively participate in the movement of planting trees, afforesting and protecting trees.
The organization of tree planting must ensure quality, practicality, efficiency, and avoid formality; focus on selecting native plants, multi-purpose forestry plants, plants that are resistant to climate change, and suitable for the soil conditions and forest planting season of each region to ensure that after planting, the trees have a high survival rate, grow and develop well.
