Hydrogen-powered robot horse gallops across all terrain

At a recent pre-show at the Osaka Kansai Expo, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, a Japanese conglomerate, surprised the tech and car enthusiast world by unveiling Corleo, a four-legged (horse-like) robot with two seats. The robot horse can gallop on any terrain, controlled by human body movements.

Resembling a futuristic mechanical horse, the Corleo is not only a symbol of bold innovation, but also represents a long-term vision for environmentally friendly transportation and off-road capabilities.

Unveiled at the Osaka Kansai Expo on April 4, Corleo not only surprised viewers with its strange design but also aroused curiosity with the advanced technology integrated inside.

This mechanical horse runs entirely on clean energy, using a hydrogen fuel cell to power a 150cc generator engine.

That makes the Corleo a clean, safe means of transport for the environment and the driver, and can even integrate a system that dispenses cool water from the exhaust gas for use on picnics or long journeys.

Designed to conquer rugged terrain, Corleo showcases advanced mobility and artificial intelligence.

Terrain recognition and step planning capabilities powered by artificial intelligence allow the robot to carefully analyze each step, choosing the safest and most efficient path through rough, rocky terrain, and even jumping from rock to rock with impressive precision.

Its every movement is synchronized with feedback from the driver's body language, the driver does not need to use the steering wheel or pedals, but only needs to lean or give body signals to convey the intention to move.

At night, the device supports optimal driving by projecting markers onto the road surface to indicate the way ahead.
