Samsung officially named the Exynos 2500 chip during its earnings call a few months ago. The tech world expected Samsung to use this chip for the Galaxy S25 and S25+ in markets outside of China, North America, and South Korea. However, there are reports that the number of chips is not enough to equip the Galaxy S25 series.
Recently, Samsung Sytem LSI shared some information related to Exynos 2500. The source said that Samsung is working hard to improve this high-end SoC and wants to "ensure design wins for mobile phone models expected to be released in the second half of 2025".
This could be a sign that the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 duo are about to launch with the Exynos 2500 chipset.
A report from The Elec claims the Galaxy Z Flip7 will be powered by the Exynos 2500 chip - this has been confirmed by a Samsung Electronics executive.
Samsung is reportedly planning to produce 3 million Galaxy Z Flip7 units - accounting for 1% of Samsung's annual sales. The Z Fold 7 and Z Flip7 are expected to launch in mid-2025, giving Samsung enough time to improve the yield of its first 3nm flagship chip.
Leaks suggest that the Exynos 2500 will use a CPU cluster with a 1+2+2+5 configuration instead of the 1+2+3+4 used in the Exynos 2400.
