According to the 2023 administrative reform index (PAR) ranking results just announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ca Mau province ranked 32nd, with 86.89 points, belonging to the good group.
Compared to the Mekong Delta region, Ca Mau ranked 3rd, just behind Long An (ranked 7th) and Hau Giang (ranked 19th) on the rankings. The very low group in this region includes the provinces: Bac Lieu ranked 59th, Soc Trang ranked second to last with 62nd position and An Giang ranked 63rd at the bottom of the table.
The results achieved by Ca Mau are thanks to the consensus of all levels of government, in which the core role of the Provincial People's Committee is in regular and resolute direction in administrative reform work. Accordingly, it has focused on issues of concern to the people such as: online file processing; online payment; digitalization of files, results of administrative procedure processing in the province. Since then, it has created a strong change in administrative procedure reform, creating increasing satisfaction of the people.
In 2023, Ca Mau's economy will continue to grow rapidly, ranking 3rd in the Mekong Delta and 16th in the country. The province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) reached 45,471 billion VND, up 7.83% over the same period, exceeding the set plan (7%). Growth quality is highly appreciated with GRDP per capita reaching nearly 70 million VND, up 13% over the same period; labor productivity growth rate reached 6.5%; total social investment capital reached 24,000 billion VND, up 8.9% over the same period.
According to the assessment of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the PAR Index of provinces and cities has returned to a positive growth trajectory, with the average value in 2023 reaching 86.98%, 2.19% higher than in 2022; this is the 5th consecutive time that the PAR Index of localities has reached an average value of over 80%.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Home Affairs, in the assessment history from 2012 to present, 2023 is the first year that all 63 provinces and cities have achieved PAR Index results above 80%. Along with that, 32/63 localities achieved PAR Index results higher than the national average; 57/63 provinces and cities have PAR Index growth higher than in 2022, with the highest increase of 9.39% in the province and the lowest increase of 0.03%.
Promoting potential advantages, along with determination in administrative reform, taking people's satisfaction as the goal and measure of implementation results, Ca Mau continues to develop in a stable and sustainable direction, determined to become a fairly developed province in the Mekong Delta region.
