Cutting off a large drug shipment imported for Tet sale

On the afternoon of January 31, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Da Nang City Police temporarily detained Huynh Lai (26 years old) and Nguyen Quang Truong (23 years old, both residing in Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City) to expand the investigation into the illegal buying and selling of drugs.

Previously, on the afternoon of January 28, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department coordinated with Ngu Hanh Son District Police to raid Huynh Lai's house in Hoa Hai Ward, catching Lai red-handed hiding 1,000 ecstasy pills and 500 grams of trays of Ketamine.

Surprised, Lai did not have time to throw the drugs in the toilet, admitting that he had just bought the drugs from an unknown person in another province and brought them to Da Nang City to sell during Tet.

Expanding the investigation, late that same day, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department continued to arrest Nguyen Quang Truong and seized 2 packages of Ketamine trays (about 5 grams).

Truong confessed that Lai had delivered drugs to him twice to sell. In this ring, Lai was the ringleader, specializing in buying large quantities of drugs from provinces in both the north and the south.

However, Lai never sold retail or met buyers directly, but left all distribution to Truong. Truong was paid a monthly salary by Lai, with room and board, and an additional bonus if he sold large quantities of drugs.

Lai confessed to regularly selling drugs at entertainment venues, or selling large quantities to many players. The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department is currently expanding its investigation into the case.
