After suspect Hoan was arrested and the police were expanding the investigation, Le Minh Long (24 years old, living in Binh Duong, a suspect in the drug trafficking ring with Hoan) tried to cross the border into Cambodia to escape, but was arrested by the police force in coordination with the Border Guard right at the Moc Bai border gate (Tay Ninh).
Exploiting the suspect Long, the police continued to arrest Nguyen Le Gia Huy (21 years old, residing in Binh Duong) and Do Duy Quang (21 years old, residing in Binh Phuoc), and at the same time searched the residence of these suspects, seizing over 2.2 kg of drugs.
Le Minh Long was preparing to escape to Cambodia when he was arrested.
Notably, while the police were searching Nguyen Le Gia Huy’s house, Nguyen Le Gia Bao (Huy’s brother, 26 years old, living in Binh Duong) hastily dumped a large quantity of drugs down the drain to dispose of them. However, the police discovered and seized over 7,000 ecstasy pills and over 1 kg of powdered drugs.
As of March 15, Binh Duong Provincial Police have arrested 6 suspects related to the above drug trafficking ring, seized a total of over 22 kg of various drugs, and continued to expand the investigation of the case.
