Southeast Asian fans were excited to see the Vietnamese women's team play a great match against the German women's team. They even wanted Thanh Nha to go to Europe to play.

Despite playing against a very strong opponent, the German women's team (ranked second in the world), the Vietnamese women's team still played very confidently. Coach Mai Duc Chung's team only lost by a narrow margin, 1-2, to an opponent that was rated much higher.
After the match, the Vietnamese women's team received a storm of compliments from Southeast Asian fans. Among them, Thanh Nha received a lot of attention after scoring a beautiful goal against the German women's team.

In the immediate future, the Vietnamese women's team has two more friendly matches with Spain (no specific date yet, but it will be early July) and New Zealand (July 10) before participating in the 2023 Women's World Cup.
Coach Mai Duc Chung's team will play their debut match at the 2023 Women's World Cup against the United States on July 22. Next are matches against Portugal (July 27) and the Netherlands (August 1).
