Tran Hoang Na Bridge across Can Tho River will open to traffic before April 30

On March 1, speaking with Giao Thong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Deputy Director of ODA Project Management Board of Can Tho city confirmed the above information.

Mr. Tho also added that during this time, the IC3 intersection (intersection of Tran Hoang Na Street and National Highway 1) will also be completed, ensuring synchronization when Tran Hoang Na Bridge opens to traffic.

Can Tho people are eagerly waiting for Tran Hoang Na bridge to open to traffic.

"The contractor is working hard on this intersection, ensuring it will be completed when the bridge opens to traffic," Mr. Tho added.

Tran Hoang Na Bridge across Can Tho River, connecting Ninh Kieu and Cai Rang districts, was technically opened to traffic on December 30, 2023.

This project belongs to package CT3-PW-2.4 of the Can Tho City Development and Urban Resilience Project (Project 3).

To put the project into operation, according to the opinion of the State Inspection Council in the official dispatch issued on January 26, the project needs to add some additional contents according to the provisions of the law on construction.

Tran Hoang Na Bridge is ready to open to traffic.

These include the decision to approve the bridge operation and maintenance process; the document approving the traffic safety inspection report before putting the project into operation; completing additional auxiliary items such as paving sidewalks and expanding concrete floors for sightseeing.

Currently, these contents have been completed. The ODA Project Management Board is completing the documents to submit to the State Inspection Council for acceptance and put into use.

Tran Hoang Na Bridge has a total implementation value of more than 791 billion VND, starting construction in September 2020. The investor is the ODA Project Management Board of Can Tho City.

Can Tho River Bridge, connecting Ninh Kieu and Cai Rang districts. The width of Ninh Kieu side is 37m, Cai Rang side is 23m. The width of the bridge at the main span is 23m, the border span is 29.3m, at the viewing hall is 34.6m. The total length including the approach road is 820m.

The clearance height is 7m, the clearance on both banks is 4.75m. The bridge is an arch bridge running in the middle, consisting of three spans structured according to 49+150+49m, the total length of the bridge is 586.9m.

Tran Hoang Na Bridge is located between Hung Loi Bridge and Cai Rang Bridge. Its completion is an opportunity to improve the architecture of river-crossing bridges, creating a highlight for the city landscape.
