Binh Duong: Bach Dang 2 Bridge with a capital of 490 billion VND is open to traffic but not completed yet
Although the road connecting to the bridge with an investment capital of 490 billion VND connecting Binh Duong province with Dong Nai province has been opened to traffic, it is still facing problems with site clearance.
On October 22, at the press conference on the 9-month socio-economic situation, Mr. Tran Viet Hung, Director of the Project Management Board (Project Management Board) of Binh Duong province's traffic construction investment, informed about the Bach Dang 2 Bridge project (connecting Binh Duong and Dong Nai).

According to information from the Project Management Board, Bach Dang 2 Bridge is nearly 1km long, of which the bridge is more than 401m long, the bridge approach is more than 544m long. The bridge has a scale of 4 lanes, the design speed is 80km/h. With a total investment of more than 490 billion VND, implemented by the budgets of the two provinces of Binh Duong and Dong Nai.
On September 23, these two provinces held an inauguration ceremony and officially opened the bridge to traffic. However, according to local residents, the road leading to the bridge is still not completed, causing difficulties in traffic.
Sharing about the above issue, Mr. Tran Hung Viet, Director of the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Binh Duong province, said; Bach Dang 2 Bridge, connecting Tan Uyen City, Binh Duong province with Dong Nai, has been opened to traffic but the approach road has not been completed due to problems in handing over the land from 3 households at the time of inauguration.
At the end of September 2024, the Project Management Board and local authorities mobilized people to hand over the site. Currently, the site has reached over 99% and the construction unit is completing the access road. If the weather is favorable, the project is expected to be completed by mid-November.
Sharing with Dau Tu Newspaper, Mr. Viet affirmed that Bach Dang 2 Bridge is one of the key traffic projects, which has a very important meaning for life, economy and regional development connection. Therefore, the Project Management Board is still urging to complete the remaining items as soon as possible.
Bach Dang 2 Bridge project, started at the end of 2021, invested by Binh Duong Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board and put into operation from the end of September 2024.
The bridge not only opens up space for urban, commercial and service development between the two provinces but also connects Binh Duong with key national traffic routes, especially Long Thanh International Airport and Cai Mep - Thi Vai port cluster.
To extend the effectiveness of Bach Dang 2 Bridge, Dong Nai People's Committee has completed upgrading and expanding the roads connecting to the bridge such as Huong Lo 7 and Huong Lo 9. Bien Hoa city's belt roads are completing design documents with a 60m road width, and Dong Nai is also researching and building the extended DT768B and DT768 routes to promote the effectiveness of the bridge.
