Heavy rain and thunderstorm warning in Hanoi

On the evening of June 21, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warned of thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and localized heavy rain in the Hanoi area.

Accordingly, the current situation in the past 3 hours, analysis on satellite cloud images and weather radar images shows that convective clouds are developing from the West and causing rain in the areas of Son Tay, Quoc Oai, and Thach That districts.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns that in the next 30 minutes to 4 hours, this convective cloud area will continue to develop, causing rain, showers and possibly thunderstorms in the above districts, then possibly expanding to other inner-city areas of Hanoi. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
