Of which, the two forms of fraud that people need to pay attention to are:

- Tricks of impersonating insurance employees to appropriate property:

Accordingly, the scammers use strange, fake phone numbers to send messages and make phone calls with the content of receiving insurance money or requesting insurance payment. From there, they lure people to contact insurance company staff, go to the requested location to receive insurance money or contact the police for verification.

Then, with the reason of needing to verify information and pay a fee to receive money, the victim is asked to call to confirm information, provide personal information for comparison...

After receiving user information, the scammer proceeds to steal money from the victim's account.

The Information Security Department recommends that people be cautious when receiving messages or calls about insurance contract information. People need to verify through official information sources. Absolutely do not provide personal information to unknown subjects or transfer money without confirming the exact recipient.

- Tricks to impersonate employees of e-wallet providers to commit fraud:

Accordingly, the subject impersonates an employee of the e-wallet provider to text and call users to ask about problems when using the service, request customers to provide information or access links for support, from which the subject performs tricks to steal personal information and appropriate property.

Although this is not a new trick and has been warned many times, many people still fall into the trap.

The Information Security Department recommends that people should be cautious when receiving messages or phone calls from strangers, absolutely do not access links or download applications of unknown origin; do not follow the requests of unknown subjects, and do not share information in any form.
