Standing Deputy Secretary of Cam Xuyen District Party Committee Ha Thi Viet Anh presented the results of Party building work and political tasks in the first 9 months of the year; deployed tasks for the fourth quarter of 2023.
In the first 9 months of 2023, Cam Xuyen district continued to have many innovations in Party building and the political system. The work of inspection, supervision, and enforcement of Party discipline; internal affairs, anti-corruption and waste prevention were tightened; mass mobilization work and activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations were strengthened.
With innovation in leadership and direction, Cam Xuyen continues to maintain socio-economic growth. Total production value reached VND 8,469 billion (equal to 89.7% of the plan and up 13% over the same period in 2022). Agricultural production had a good harvest; productivity, output and selling price of spring rice were higher than the same period last year.
Secretary of Cam Trung Commune Party Committee Bui Xuan Dinh: The district needs to carefully study the plan to merge 3 communes: Cam Loc, Cam Ha, Cam Trung.
The whole district focused on consolidating and accumulating land with an additional 711.2 hectares/6 communes in the area. Building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, sustainable poverty reduction, and one product per commune received attention and direction from leaders; Cam Vinh commune achieved model NTM, Cam Thanh commune achieved 3/4 model NTM criteria, Cam Due commune achieved advanced NTM, and 5 more 3-star OCOP products...
Total budget revenue reached 246.2 billion VND (81% of the plan assigned by the province and 82% compared to the same period in 2022); total social investment reached 1,800 billion VND (up 24% over the same period and reaching 100% of the plan). Site clearance for the North-South Expressway project and other projects were focused on. Culture and education had many outstanding results; social security and job creation had many improvements; national defense and security were ensured.

At the conference, delegates listened to and gave opinions on adjusting and supplementing some contents of the general planning of Cam Xuyen town and surrounding areas; planning of the central area of Cam Binh commune; plan to merge commune-level administrative units in the period 2023 - 2030.
The conference also focused on discussing, analyzing the causes, and proposing some solutions to overcome the difficulties. Some delegates proposed: In the last months of the year, it is necessary to focus on building model residential areas and wastewater treatment systems in localities; many localities lack clean water, so attention should be paid to bringing clean water to the people; encourage the construction of economic models; it is necessary to plan the center of Cam Binh commune and Cam Xuyen town in a reasonable manner; carefully consider the merger of localities...

Concluding the conference, Secretary of Cam Xuyen District Party Committee Nguyen Van Thanh requested localities to frankly acknowledge the backlog and difficulties to focus on removing them, and resolutely deploy solutions to exceed the targets set in 2023. In the last months of the year, departments, branches and localities need to focus on amending a number of regulations related to personnel work; reviewing petitions and cases to resolve them thoroughly; doing a good job of receiving citizens; organizing well the congresses of the Fatherland Front at all levels; mobilizing funds for the poor; completing dialogues between Party leaders and the people.
In addition, the entire political system must actively participate in promoting products, connecting promotions on social platforms; resolutely implementing planning and investment solutions in Thien Cam tourist area; developing a project on community tourism associated with the rural economy; accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital; continuing to expand the area of land accumulation; promoting site clearance for key projects with a spirit of persistent propaganda and flexibility in specific situations.
