At 3:00 p.m. today (September 10), Hanoi banned all people and vehicles from crossing Long Bien Bridge. Vehicles were redirected to Chuong Duong, Thanh Tri, Nhat Tan, Vinh Tuy, and Thang Long bridges.

Hanoi Department of Transport requested the Traffic Police Department - City Police to arrange forces to guide traffic flow.

Vietnam Railways Corporation has also stopped running trains across Long Bien Bridge (Km3+056) on the Hanoi - Dong Dang railway line from 8:00 a.m. on September 10 until the water level recedes to a safe level. Railway transport on the Hanoi - Hai Phong route has been adjusted and trains are running normally from Gia Lam - Hai Phong.

Allowing motorbikes to enter the emergency lane on some sections of Thang Long Avenue

Currently, due to flooding on the Thang Long Boulevard and some residential underpasses, the Department of Transport has issued a ban on vehicles traveling on this route to ensure safety. Specifically, the prohibited locations include:

Right side of the route: From Km7+00 (entrance to the railway underpass intersection) to Km10+350 (exit to the An Khanh Urban Area intersection);

From Km20+00 (entrance to Provincial Road 80 intersection) to Km28+300 (exit to Lang - Hoa Lac High-Tech Park intersection).

On the left side of the route from Km16+500 (entrance to Sai Son overpass intersection) to Km7+00 (exit to railway underpass intersection);

From Km28+300 (entrance to Lang - Hoa Lac High-Tech Park intersection) to Km20+00 (exit to Provincial Road 80 intersection).

At the same time, the maximum speed limit is 60km/h for all vehicles traveling on Thang Long Boulevard at the following routes (right route: Km7+00 – Km10+350, Km20+00 – Km28+300; left route: Km16+500 – Km7+00, Km28+300 – Km20+00).

At the same time, traffic organization for buses is allowed to circulate on Thang Long Avenue, maximum speed allowed is 60km/h.

Traffic organization for motorbikes and rudimentary vehicles is allowed to circulate on the emergency lane of Thang Long Boulevard, maximum speed allowed is 40km/h.

Scope of application on the following routes: Right route from Km7+00 (entrance to railway tunnel intersection) to Km10+350 (exit to An Khanh Urban Area intersection);

From Km20+00 (entrance to Provincial Road 80 intersection) to Km28+300 (exit to Lang - Hoa Lac High-Tech Park intersection).

Left route: from Km16+500 (entrance to Sai Son Overpass intersection) to Km7+00 (exit to railway underpass intersection);

From Km28+300 (entrance to Lang - Hoa Lac High-Tech Park intersection) to Km20+00 (exit to Provincial Road 80 intersection). Implementation time is from September 10 until a replacement notice is issued.
