After more than 20 years of use, the system of trees, lawns and walkways in the flower garden has degraded, not suitable for the most important public space in the Capital. Therefore, the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District has completed the preparation for the investment project to renovate the flower garden with the goal of preventing degradation, supplementing urban facilities and promoting the historical and cultural values of the Hoan Kiem Lake area.
Regarding the renovation plan, the Ly Thai To flower garden renovation project is organized into three main areas: Khanh tiet area, Nha Ken yard area, and flower garden park area.
In particular, the Khanh tiet area includes the lobby, Khanh tiet yard and incense offering yard. Khanh tiet yard will be expanded towards Dinh Tien Hoang sidewalk, with Km0 milestone located in the center.
Nha Ken yard area: Re-plan the green tree system, lawns and increase the usable area. Park and flower garden area: Organize two main axes: Nha Ken - State Bank axis and President's Office - Children's Palace axis. The water music system will be arranged along the East - West axis. In addition, this area will also add public toilets and a tourist information center.
In addition, the flower garden area will be connected to Le Lai, Le Thach and Dinh Tien Hoang streets through paving and painting. Trees will be replaced and planted to increase shade and landscape.
