Nguyen Hao Thien, a former student of Le Thanh Tong Secondary School, Ho Chi Minh City, valedictorian of the A01 block nationwide in 2024 with a score of 9.8 in math; 10 in physics; 9.8 in English, has officially become a new student majoring in computer science at the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University), a program taught and learned in English.

Thien said that this year, the benchmark score for the combined assessment method of the Computer Science major, taught and learned in English at the University of Technology is 83.63 points. The combined assessment method score of this school is calculated according to the formula = [Converted Competency Assessment Score x 0.7] + [3 x High School Graduation Exam Score x 0.2] + [High School Study Score x 0.1].
Including the bonus points (graded by the University of Science and Technology based on the candidate's personal achievements, cultural, sports and fine arts activities in general), Nguyen Hao Thien achieved 91.59 points, 7.96 points more than the standard score set by the school.
Thien has completed the admission procedures and is currently participating in the school's civic activities.

Le Hoang, a former student of Phu Nhuan High School, is one of the two valedictorians of the D01 block in Ho Chi Minh City with 27.85 points. He is also the runner-up of the D07 block in Ho Chi Minh City with a total of 29.1 points. In math alone, Hoang scored 9.8 points, which is the highest math score nationwide in the 2024 high school graduation exam. Hoang's chemistry score is 9.5; biology score is 8.5.
Le Hoang placed his first choice in the field of dentistry, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City with group B00 and was admitted with a total score of 27.8.

Notably, Le Hoang's close friend Lai Thanh Vinh, also a former student of Phu Nhuan High School, is one of the 5 candidates in the city who scored 10 points in Biology in the 2024 High School Graduation Exam. Vinh scored 9.25 points in Physics and 9 points in Chemistry. Recently, Vinh was admitted to the Pharmacy Department at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Nguyen Tien Dat, the second prize winner of block B00 of Ho Chi Minh City (math 9.6; chemistry 10; biology 9.5) was admitted to the medical school of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
Do Minh Thanh Thu, national runner-up of block D07 with a score of 9.4 in math; 10 in chemistry; 9.8 in English (total 29.2 points). The female student is also the valedictorian of Ho Chi Minh City block D07.
Thanh Thu applied for the medical major at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy with the B00 combination and was admitted. Her total score of the B00 combination of math - chemistry - biology was 28.65 points (the standard score for the medical major is 27.8).
Tran Tri Duc, valedictorian of block B00 in Ho Chi Minh City (math 9.6; chemistry 10; biology 9.75) was admitted to the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City.
