Interesting questions

At the exchange, the young delegates asked very interesting questions. Bui Khanh Ly (Nam Dinh province) asked: "To become a National Assembly delegate is the dream of many people, how have you strived to achieve that?".

Answering this question, Ms. Thai Quynh Mai Dung shared about her efforts and said that at the same age as you, she did not know what the National Assembly was and had never had the opportunity to come into contact with the National Assembly as early as you. However, after trying hard to study well, pass the university entrance exam, then study for a master's and doctorate abroad, she returned to the country to contribute and strive to become a National Assembly delegate. Ms. Mai Dung believes that with the same conditions as you now, it is completely possible to nurture your dream and have an early plan to strive to become a National Assembly delegate in the future.

Vo Ha Bao Ngoc (Kien Giang province) asked: "To become a future National Assembly delegate, what majors do we need to study, and what skills do we need to equip ourselves with?"

Answering this question, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung shared: According to regulations, National Assembly deputies must be over 22 years old and have a university degree or higher. However, the law does not specify what major they must study, so they can study any profession that suits their abilities and meets the requirements of the National Assembly.

At the same time, Mr. Thanh Trung added that for National Assembly deputies, it is required to be knowledgeable in many fields because they have to participate in many broad contents, from national security and defense, culture, education, health, foreign affairs, etc. National Assembly deputies themselves must actively research the field they are trained in and other fields.

“Students not only learn knowledge in school but also need to practice many skills such as English, music, art, etc. to have a rich soul, which is very beneficial for their future career,” Mr. Thanh Trung advised.

Sending a message to the children, Mr. Thanh Trung hopes that they will have good health, be good children, good students, study well, be filial to their grandparents and parents, and obey the law such as the Traffic Law or participate in environmental protection... At the same time, Mr. Trung hopes that through this activity, the children will have memorable memories in their lives and actively share knowledge and understanding about the National Assembly with friends so that more people will understand about the Vietnamese National Assembly.

Demonstrate a pioneering and creative role

In the afternoon of the same day, there was also a meeting between the Young National Assembly Delegation Group, the Central Youth Union Secretariat, the Central Young Pioneer Council and the young National Assembly delegates.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Mai Dung said that looking back at the success of the first Mock Session of the Children's National Assembly in 2023, it further affirmed the Party and State's policies and actions on caring for, educating, comprehensively developing and ensuring children's rights; providing the best conditions and the most attentive care for children - the future of the country.

According to Ms. Mai Dung, with the thoughtful attention of the Party, the State and the whole society, the Young National Assembly Delegates Group has proactively coordinated with the Central Youth Union, the Central Council of Young Pioneers, the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education and the National Assembly Office to select 2 permanent staff members of the Young National Assembly Delegates Group who are permanent members of the National Assembly Committees to participate in the organizing committee and advisory board of the 2nd Children's National Assembly Mock Session - 2024. Hopefully, this participation will create motivation and fuel the enthusiasm of the young delegates attending this year's session.

On behalf of the Young National Assembly Delegates Group, Ms. Mai Dung acknowledged and highly appreciated the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and the Central Council of the Young Pioneers for their efforts in carrying out the task of organizing and representing the voices and aspirations of children, demonstrating the pioneering and creative role of the Youth Union and Young Pioneers in creating an environment to promote children's right to participate in related issues and raise children's awareness of the National Assembly.

Ms. Mai Dung also said that among the 306 outstanding young delegates from all over the country, many have achieved high achievements in studying, training, physical education, sports, culture and arts, and are the core force in the work of the Young Pioneers and the children's movement in the locality in particular and the whole country in general. There are those who have difficult circumstances, are children of ethnic minorities, but all of them carry with them not only a mature, confident, and bold demeanor, but also the thoughts, wishes, and feelings of more than 15 million young people and children nationwide to the leaders.

“Those valid opinions will be the basis for the National Assembly, the Government, ministries, branches, and local authorities to pay attention to and solve problems for the children. They are the pride of their families, teachers, friends, and the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization,” Ms. Mai Dung affirmed.

At the same time, Ms. Mai Dung hopes that the delegates attending this meeting will continue to promote the results and achievements they have achieved, strive in studying and training, nurture good dreams and ambitions, actively participate in the activities of the Youth Union, the Young Pioneers and social activities, help friends and children to progress together, and contribute to building the homeland and country to become more and more prosperous and civilized.
