According to the German Embassy in Hanoi, the art exhibition is expected to begin on September 30 with the participation of German Ambassador to Vietnam Helga Margarete Barth, French Ambassador Olivier Brochet and representatives of local authorities.

The exhibition venue is Phuc Tan Forest Park, where artworks by French, German and Vietnamese artists are gathered within the framework of the art program "Turning trash into artwork: Urban environmental solutions in Hanoi through a creative lens".

This program is part of the "Community Garden" project jointly organized by the Goethe Institute Hanoi, the French Institute in Hanoi and Think Playgrounds, aiming to promote the sustainable development of public spaces and urban landscapes in Hanoi, through the creative application of public art and recycling practices.

Supported by the Franco-German Cultural Foundation and officially implemented from September to November, the project includes diverse artistic practices and approaches: temporary installations, discussions with the participation of many different audiences, comic drawing activities...

Artists from Germany, France and Vietnam will immerse themselves in the space of the Red River embankment, the area adjacent to the riverbed and used as a dike corridor, which was once a place filled with waste and heavily polluted in the heart of Hanoi. They will bring their artistic creativity to express different aspects of the ecological story during the period of explosive development of the capital.

Through that, stories of people living on the edge of the capital are also mentioned.

From Germany, two artists Jöran Mandik and Eliza Chojnacka from the Floating University Berlin group came to Vietnam through the invitation of the Goethe Institute Hanoi.

The French Institute in Hanoi successfully invited two comic artists Maxime Péroz and Clément Baloup, and urban planning expert Sylvie Fanchette to participate in the program.

Vietnamese artists/experts participating in the program are Tran Luong (APD) and Pham Minh Duc.
