On September 22, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son chaired the third quarter meeting of 2023 of the Steering Committee for Administrative Reform and the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation of the Ministry of Education and Training. Attending were Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son and members of the Steering Committee.
According to the report on the results of administrative reform in the first 9 months of 2023, units under the Ministry of Education and Training have focused on implementing tasks according to the 2023 Administrative Reform Plan and contents as required by the Government's Steering Committee for Administrative Reform.

Accordingly, many tasks assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister have been reviewed and integrated with the contents and ongoing work of the Ministry and the Education sector. Units under the Ministry of Education and Training have advised, organized, implemented and completed many key tasks.
In particular, thematic reviews were conducted at the request of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Public Security, the Government Office, and the organization, amendment and supplementation of legal documents to serve the implementation of Project 06 of the Prime Minister.
In addition, the Minister of Education and Training has issued a Directive on rectifying the implementation of regulations related to the abolition of paper Household Registration Books and Temporary Residence Books when performing administrative procedures and public services in the education sector.
The Minister of Education and Training also issued a decision approving the Project on measuring people's satisfaction with public education services.
The project aims to measure people's satisfaction with public education services in order to scientifically, transparently and objectively evaluate the service quality of public educational institutions.
From the assessment results, management agencies and educational institutions grasp the needs and desires of the people to provide services and have solutions to improve service quality to meet the satisfaction and interests of the people.
Regarding the implementation of Digital Transformation in Education, the key tasks in the first 9 months of 2023 have been completed, ensuring progress and quality. Specifically: Completing the assigned tasks in the Project on developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve the National Digital Transformation period 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030;
Tasks of applying information technology and digital transformation to serve the 2023 High School Graduation Exam and University Admissions; deploying the construction and putting into operation a sector-wide database system on higher education.
The Education sector has also built a database of students' permanent residence history, providing online services for looking up and verifying students' permanent residence history online to correctly identify priority areas, without having to use permanent residence history confirmation papers as before.
Along with that, the digital transformation and e-Government implementation at the Ministry of Education and Training are also guaranteed to be secure and safe in cyberspace. Contributing to the management and handling of administrative procedures of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son emphasized that the implementation of administrative reform and digital transformation tasks in education needs to be focused and not spread out; tasks that have a great impact on society should be prioritized.
The Deputy Minister requested relevant units to continue to improve the industry database, which is linked with the national database; so that the integrated and connected database must bring practical benefits to the management and operation process.
Concluding the meeting, Minister Nguyen Kim Son highly appreciated the results achieved in administrative reform and digital transformation of the Ministry of Education and Training. In particular, improvements in high school exam registration and university admission in 2023 have created great conditions for candidates.
The Minister requested members of the Steering Committee for Administrative Reform and the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation of the Ministry of Education and Training to continue to direct the good implementation of tasks for the fourth quarter of 2023.
