Binh Duong organizes National Bodybuilding Competition 2023

The 2023 National Bodybuilding Championship took place from October 26 to October 29, attracting 103 athletes (75 men and 28 women) from 13 athlete delegations, competing in 19 sets of medals including: Youth men's content: competing in 9 weight categories (55kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg and over 90kg); Youth women's content and mixed doubles: competing in 5 weight categories (46kg, 52kg, 49kg, 55kg and over 55kg).

In each competition, athletes must demonstrate the overall muscular beauty of the body. First is the way of expressing impression, body structure, followed by the general development of muscles, hair, facial harmony, muscle balance, skin condition, skin color and performance ability.

Especially the abdominal muscle groups and all the muscles achieved through training,... These are the necessary standards for the referees and judges to score the athletes.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation commented: " In the past time, Binh Duong has been highly trusted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, the Department of Physical Training and Sports and the National Sports Federations, and has been assigned to host many major activities and national tournaments such as: National Vovinam tournament, National Jujitsu tournament, National Judo tournament, National Bowling tournament, Binh Duong International 3-cushion billiards tournament,... and today is the National Bodybuilding tournament.

The locality also provides many quality athletes who bring glory to Vietnam in general and Bodybuilding in particular .

The 2023 National Bodybuilding Championship is an important sporting event, organized to strengthen exchanges with localities across the country, at the same time test and evaluate the level of athlete selection and training of localities, contributing to promoting the development of the bodybuilding movement.

Through the 2023 National Bodybuilding Championship to select outstanding athletes for the national team to prepare to compete in international competitions in 2024.

Immediately after the Opening Ceremony, the athletes entered the first events. As a result, the Binh Duong delegation won the first gold medal, won by athlete Vu Thuy Minh Thuy in the women's up to 46kg category. The remaining events will continue to compete until October 29, 2023.

After the tournament ended, the Vietnam Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation continued to coordinate with Binh Duong province to organize a program to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Vietnam Bodybuilding to honor and commend individuals and groups that have made many contributions to Vietnam Bodybuilding over the past time.
