Last year, Hanoi Medical University set admission scores based on high school graduation exam results from 21 to 27.73 points. Of which, the highest score was 27.73 for the Medicine major. 209 students were admitted based on high school graduation exam scores and 73 others were directly admitted according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. If they have an international language certificate, candidates applying for the Medicine major only need to score 26 points. This major is trained at the Thanh Hoa branch and requires 26.39 points.

The second highest benchmark score for Dentistry is 27.5 points. The lowest benchmark score is Nursing at Thanh Hoa branch with 19 points.

This year, Hanoi Medical University plans to open and enroll 4 new majors: Dental Prosthetics, Social Work, Psychology, and Midwifery.

Regarding enrollment plans, the school plans to enroll students in 3 ways: Direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, considering high school graduation exam scores, and considering the capacity assessment exam scores of Hanoi National University.

The school plans to reserve 25% of its admission quota for direct admission and 40% for admission quota combining high school graduation exam results and international language certificates (English, French for Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing under advanced training programs).

With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, in addition to the traditional combination of medical schools - B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), the school plans to add the subject combination of block B01 (Math, Biology, History) and D03 (Math, Literature, French).
