AFP news agency quoted a Houthi statement saying, "the campaign achieved its set objectives."
Meanwhile, the Israeli military announced that at 3:23 p.m. on December 16, its air defense system intercepted a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis toward Israel.
The rocket did not enter Israeli territory, but warnings were triggered due to the possibility of debris from the interception falling.
According to sources of The Jerusalem Post, Israel is likely to respond to the above attacks in the coming weeks.
The Houthis are estimated to have launched about a dozen ballistic missiles and drones at Israel since early November, including several in the past two weeks alone. However, Israel has not responded since October.
Israel has lost patience with the Houthis, sources said. Israel had previously carried out two large-scale airstrikes on Yemen in July and September, but the Houthis resumed their attacks about a month later.
In another development, the US military announced that it had conducted an airstrike targeting a Houthi command and coordination facility, including attacks on US Navy warships and commercial vessels in the southern Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
Early on December 17, Al-Masirah TV, the main news channel of the Houthi movement in Yemen, said the US airstrike targeted the Al-Ardi complex in the capital Sanaa.
The Iran-backed Houthi group has been carrying out attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea for more than a year to enforce a maritime blockade on Israel, saying it is an act of solidarity with Palestinians during Israel's year-long war in the Gaza Strip.
