The provincial Center for Disease Control said that the province has just recorded another case of a child dying from hand, foot and mouth disease in Krong Pac district.
The patient is MMQ (male, born in 2021, residing in Tan Tien commune, Krong Pac district). According to the patient's family, on August 16, the patient started having symptoms of a high fever of 39 degrees.
On August 20, the child had blisters on the palms of his hands and feet and mouth ulcers. His family took him to the Krong Pac District Medical Center for treatment.

On August 21, the disease progressed severely, the child was transferred to the Central Highlands General Hospital with the diagnosis: Grade IV respiratory failure/Acute pulmonary edema/Monitoring myocarditis/Grade IV hand, foot and mouth disease on day 5/Sepsis. At 11:00 p.m. the same day, the child died with the diagnosis of grade IV hand, foot and mouth disease/Acute pulmonary edema/Acute myocarditis/Sepsis.
It is known that before getting sick, the patient played with the same toys and had direct contact with a patient suspected of having hand, foot and mouth disease temporarily residing in Yang Kang commune, Krong Bong district.
According to statistics from the provincial Center for Disease Control, since the beginning of the year, the whole province has recorded 931 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, including 2 deaths.
