(BGDT) - Taking advantage of being a security guard at ChunQiu Electronic Vietnam Company (ChunQiu Company for short) in Hoa Phu Industrial Park, Hiep Hoa District (Bac Giang), Bui Van Duong (born in 1974), residing in Tan Duc Commune, Phu Binh District (Thai Nguyen) assisted a group of people in stealing property at this company, causing damage of about 130 million VND.
Previously, on May 3, Hiep Hoa District Police received a report from Mai Dinh Commune Police. According to the report, DEOUSI Vietnam System Engineering Co., Ltd. was installing an electric cable system at ChunQiu Company. On April 25, the company discovered that about 400 meters of copper core electric cable had been stolen from the construction site, with an asset value of about 130 million VND.

Through verification, the Investigation Police Agency of Hiep Hoa District Police determined that a group of subjects used a truck to break into the company and then committed property theft on the night of April 22 to the early morning of April 23, 2023.
Realizing that the incident had the collusion and assistance of the company's security guards, through expanded investigation and verification, Hiep Hoa District Police established a mobile group of people operating in Yen The District (Bac Giang), Phu Binh District (Thai Nguyen) and Yen Phong District (Bac Ninh).
Based on the investigation documents, on May 4, the Investigation Police Agency of Hiep Hoa District Police simultaneously executed an Emergency Detention Order along with an Emergency Search Order for the residence of 5 subjects for the act of "Theft of property" against: Vu Thanh Khoa (born in 1982), Trieu Vu Hiep (born in 1987), both residing in Dong Lac commune (Yen The); Truong Van Hung (born in 1972), residing in Dong Tien commune (Yen Phong); Ngo Van Thong (born in 1972), residing in Bac Ly town (Hiep Hoa); Bui Van Duong (born in 1974), residing in Tan Duc commune (Phu Binh).
At the same time, the Investigation Police Agency of Hiep Hoa District Police mobilized Hoang Van Quyen (born in 1979), residing in Dong Lac Commune (Yen The) to surrender for the act of "Receiving property obtained by others through crime".
Through investigation, the Investigation Police Agency of Hiep Hoa District Police determined: Bui Van Duong is a security guard of Cuong Phat Security Service Company headquartered in Bac Ninh province, assigned as Head of the Security Team at ChunQiu Company. Seeing that the company had many new power cables that had not been installed, Duong had the intention of stealing. Around the beginning of April 2023, Duong contacted and told Vu Thanh Khoa (an acquaintance of his) to go to ChunQiu Company to steal power cables and promised to take care of the security issue, sell the stolen property and share the money, and Khoa agreed.
On April 20, 2023, Duong was transferred by the security company to work at Van Trung Industrial Park, so he colluded with Ngo Van Thong (who worked as a security guard with Duong at ChunQiu Company) to organize property theft.
On April 22, 2023, knowing that Thong worked the night shift, Duong, Khoa, Hung and Trieu Vu Hiep went to ChunQiu Company to organize a theft. Khoa and Hiep climbed over the wall into ChunQiu Company to steal 19 rolls of copper core electric cable, weighing 529 kg, then hid it in an empty lot nearby and returned to their rented room. After that, Khoa and Hiep continued to return to the place where the property was hidden, hiring Hoang Van Quyen from Yen The to transport the above copper cables to a location in Hung Yen province. When finished, Khoa paid Quyen 2 million VND; Khoa sold the stolen cables for 74 million VND, divided 19 million VND between Hiep and Duong, and 15 million VND.

The Investigation Police Agency of Hiep Hoa District Police has initiated a case and prosecuted Vu Thanh Khoa, Trieu Vu Hiep, Truong Van Hung, Ngo Van Thong, Bui Van Duong, and Hoang Van Quyen to continue investigating and clarifying the case.

On the morning of May 29, Buon Ma Thuot City Police (Dak Lak Province) announced that the Criminal Police Team of the City Police had arrested 3 subjects to investigate and clarify the act of breaking the door and smashing the windows of cars of Buon Ma Thuot City residents parked overnight on the sidewalk to steal property.
