(NLDO) - Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung requested absolute protection of security and safety for party congresses at all levels and the 14th National Congress of the Party.
On the afternoon of February 11 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held a conference to disseminate and deploy the work of ensuring security and order for Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress and national events and international conferences in Vietnam in 2025. Also attending were representatives of leaders of central ministries, branches and sectors; representatives of provinces and cities.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung emphasized that 2025 is a year of special significance for our country, a year of focusing on completing the goals of the 13th National Congress of Delegates, and also a year of many important political and foreign affairs events of the country, such as: Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam...
At the Conference, delegates listened to a summary of the central report and discussion statements from representatives of agencies, units and localities attending the Conference, focusing on the limitations, difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing security and order assurance work and recommendations and proposals for specific policies and solutions in the coming time.
Concluding the Conference, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, affirmed that ensuring security and order would contribute to the successful organization of events and conferences of important political, historical and diplomatic significance, contributing to creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere in the entire Party, people and army, adding motivation to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new era of national development. The highest goal and requirement is to "Absolutely protect security and safety, not to let unexpected incidents happen, not to let even the smallest negligence happen not only at the places where events and conferences take place, but also nationwide; create maximum convenience for all activities of people and international guests attending, effectively and efficiently serving and promoting economic and social development".
For the upcoming events and conferences in April and May (the 4th P4G International Conference, the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification and the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival), Deputy Minister Pham The Tung requested the Public Security of relevant units and localities to urgently review, evaluate, update the situation, supplement and complete plans, plans for the arrangement and assignment of forces and means to ensure security and order, deploy at the highest level, assign tasks, direct and command specifically, clearly define the tasks of the presiding unit, coordinate, and assign responsibilities to each Working Group and commander at each target. Review and evaluate the overall strength of existing forces and means, and the capacity to meet the requirements of ensuring security and order; timely advise and direct the resolution of difficulties and problems, ensure absolute security and safety, and contribute to the successful organization of the first 3 events of 2025.
For the 5 events and conferences that will last in 2025 (Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress, the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the 80th Anniversary of the First General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam...), Deputy Minister Pham The Tung requested the Public Security of units and localities to continue to specify and implement the assigned tasks in the plans and directions of the Ministry, plan specific tasks, ensure "clear people, clear work, clear progress, clear responsibilities, clear results"; closely coordinate with relevant departments, ministries, branches and localities to regularly update and supplement information and situations, especially adjustments and changes in the content, programs and scenarios of events and conferences to promptly adjust plans and solutions to ensure security and order in line with reality.
Promote the role of the police to make positive contributions to the content and programs of events and conferences, especially international conferences. Focus on doing a good job of grasping the situation from afar, early on, from the grassroots (both on the ground and in cyberspace), proactively preventing, effectively combating, and neutralizing all plots and intentions to take advantage of events and conferences for sabotage activities, and thoroughly eliminating the bases and conditions that subjects can take advantage of to commit crimes.
Deputy Minister Pham The Tung also requested relevant departments, ministries, branches and localities to regularly coordinate closely and promptly exchange information related to events and conferences with the Ministry of Public Security to deploy work to ensure security and order.
