Doctor Nguyen Van Duong is enthusiastic about the Youth Union work.

Mr. Duong and the Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital Youth Union participated in providing free medical examination and medicine distribution in Thanh Tung commune (Thanh Mien).

On February 25, Mr. Duong and other volunteer doctors and nurses from the Youth Union of Hai Duong Rehabilitation Hospital participated in providing free medical examinations and medicine to former youth volunteers and families with meritorious services in Thanh Tung Commune (Thanh Mien). The image of a young male doctor wearing a white blouse, enthusiastically guiding the elderly to the examination table to check blood pressure, perform general ultrasound, electrocardiogram, etc. impressed many people.

Since his student days, Mr. Duong has actively participated in union activities, union movements, and was in charge of a student volunteer team to become more mature, have more friends and life experience.

When he returned to work at Hai Duong Rehabilitation Hospital and became Secretary of the Youth Union, he always tried to develop the hospital's Youth Union movement. "To do that, I, as Secretary of the Youth Union, have to take the lead and be enthusiastic about the job," said Mr. Duong.

He and the Youth Union Executive Committee proactively developed a plan to organize activities during Youth Month and the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign. In 2023, the hospital's Youth Union coordinated to provide voluntary medical examination and treatment in many localities inside and outside the province such as Ba Be district (Bac Kan), Ninh Giang, Gia Loc, Thanh Mien districts, etc.

Working in the medical field is so hard, when participating in the Youth Union, he has to work twice as hard, spending more time to organize the activities properly. Mr. Duong shared: "For each volunteer program, I often plan early, remind my colleagues to arrange and organize their work to participate. Actively participating in volunteering, I find joy in contributing my youth to help people."

The activities of the Youth Union encountered many difficulties due to limited resources and expertise. Mr. Duong proposed that the Youth Unions coordinate to organize many volunteer programs to increase resources, support each other in expertise, help diversify the program, increase communication, exchange and learning among members.

Thanks to that, in 2023, the activities and movements of the Youth Union of the Rehabilitation Hospital have improved a lot and received a certificate of merit from the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union. Mr. Duong was personally recognized by the Youth Union of the Northern Province and City Agencies and Enterprises at the Advanced Youth Festival and received many other certificates of merit from the Central Youth Union, the Central Youth Union, the Provincial Youth Union, and the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies.

Ms. Pham Thi Tuoi, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Provincial Agencies, assessed Mr. Duong as a responsible, dynamic and enthusiastic Youth Union officer in volunteer activities.
