Quang Thien Bridge across Canal 4, Chong My B Hamlet, was built 31 m long, 2 m wide, with a total investment of nearly 120 million VND, by the Provincial Buddhist Social Charity Board in connection with Ms. Viet Ly, mobilizing Mr. Pham Quang Thien to sponsor 94 million VND, the rest was matched by the locality. The inauguration and putting into use of the bridge has created favorable conditions for people to travel conveniently, helping students go to school safely, especially during the rainy and stormy season, while contributing to making the rural appearance increasingly better.

Quang Thien Bridge across Canal 4, Chong My B Hamlet, was inaugurated in the joy of the people.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Ty, Chong My B hamlet, said: “Currently, some bridges in the area that were built before have degraded and are damaged. I see that every day, students in this canal have difficulty going to school right at the ebb tide. Now that there is this new bridge, the people are very excited, it helps people to cross easily, and it is convenient for children to go to school.”

At Truyen Huan hamlet, the local government and sponsors also inaugurated the Hong Thanh 3 bridge across Truyen Huan canal. The bridge was built of reinforced concrete, 23 m long, 2 m wide, with a total construction cost of more than 90 million VND. Of which, the Provincial Buddhist Social Charity Board connected with Ms. Viet Ly, mobilizing Mr. Phuong Nguyen (USA) to sponsor 45 million VND, the rest was contributed by the local government and the people.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Dam, Secretary of Truyen Huan Hamlet Party Cell, excitedly said: “The old bridge is degraded and damaged, the hamlet proposed to the Commune People's Committee to invest in building a new bridge. Today, the bridge was inaugurated, the people in the hamlet are very excited. Having a new bridge will help people travel conveniently, transport goods easily and students go to school more safely.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet, Deputy Head of the Provincial Buddhist Social Charity Committee, said: "Among more than 700 rural traffic bridges of the Mobilization and Support Committee for Construction in the province, there are more than 150 trees sponsored by Ms. Viet Ly. Thereby, it shows the deep affection of the sponsors for their homeland Ca Mau in general and Ham Rong commune, Nam Can district in particular, with the desire to share the difficulties and hardships of people in places lacking a solid bridge connecting the two banks."

Mr. Le Ngoc Giau, Vice Chairman of Ham Rong Commune People's Committee, said: "In recent times, the locality has received the attention of sponsors and philanthropists to implement social security programs, including the Provincial Buddhist Social Charity Board, which has connected and helped the locality have solid and spacious rural traffic bridges, thereby meeting the travel needs of people and students to go to school easily and safely, while contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development, creating an increasingly prosperous rural appearance"./.
