Bac Giang opens the Spring Newspaper Festival of At Ty 2025

On the morning of February 9 (January 12, At Ty year), at Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourist area (Son Dong district), the Provincial Journalists Association coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Information and Communications, Son Dong district People's Committee, provincial press agencies and central press agencies with permanent offices in Bac Giang to organize the opening ceremony of the At Ty Spring Press Festival 2025.

Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Van Gau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Huong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Viet Oanh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, National Assembly Delegation of the province; representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches, districts, towns, cities and central and local press agencies.

In his opening speech, comrade Trinh Van Anh - Editor-in-Chief of Bac Giang Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association emphasized that, along with the national press, over the past years, Bac Giang press has continuously innovated and developed in all aspects. The Journalists Association, Bac Giang Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station, Song Thuong Magazine have been promoting the application of information technology and digital transformation, thereby creating new and comprehensive changes in professional activities, increasingly timely and effective propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and local political tasks.

With the support of press agencies and units and localities, this year's Spring Newspaper Festival displays all spring newspaper works of central press agencies and provincial and municipal press agencies nationwide by Bac Giang Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station, Song Thuong Magazine, Provincial Library and central press agencies residing in Bac Giang. Within the framework of the Spring Newspaper Festival, there are also many meaningful activities such as: Awarding awards to authors and groups of authors whose works have won national press awards and press awards of central ministries and branches; awarding press propaganda awards on traffic safety in 2024; giving books and gifts to disadvantaged students, performing calligraphy art... In particular, Bac Giang Newspaper opened an exhibition of more than 100 beautiful photos reflecting outstanding events in economy, society, national defense, security and reflecting the beauty of the land and people of Bac Giang.

Through the activities at the Spring Newspaper Festival, especially the spring newspaper publications, books, magazines and photo exhibitions, cadres, party members, and visitors from near and far have a panoramic view of the province's general achievements; the innovation and development of the national press in general, and the Bac Giang press in particular; the companionship and contribution of the press and the press team in propagating the political tasks of the country and the locality. This is also an opportunity for the press team to meet, express gratitude, and listen to the opinions of readers and audiences, thereby actively cultivating political qualities, professional expertise, and professional ethics, constantly innovating, creating, striving to overcome difficulties, continuing to reap many new successes, contributing with the entire Party, the entire army, and the entire people to firmly step into the new era - the era of national development, building a rich and civilized Bac Giang province.

At the opening ceremony, delegates cut the ribbon to open the At Ty Spring Press Festival 2025. On this occasion, groups of authors whose works won the National Press Award in 2024; the 16th "For the cause of great national unity" Press Award, 2023-2024 and the National Assembly and People's Council Press Award (Dien Hong) in 2024 were commended; groups of authors who won the B and C prizes of the 16th "For the cause of great national unity" Press Award, 2023-2024, and the C prize of the National Assembly and People's Council Press Award (Dien Hong) in 2024 received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee.

Also at the ceremony, the Provincial Journalists Association coordinated with the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee to award prizes to 16 authors and groups of authors who won prizes in the 2024 traffic safety propaganda journalism contest; the Women Journalists Club under the Provincial Journalists Association presented gifts to 10 students of Son Dong High School No. 3 with difficult circumstances who strived to study (each gift worth 700,000 VND); the Provincial Library presented 100 books to Tay Yen Tu Town Secondary School.

The At Ty Spring Newspaper Festival takes place from February 9 to February 14 at Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourist area, Son Dong district, Bac Giang province.
