Bac Binh: Launching Humanitarian Month 2025

Attending the event were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan - President of the Provincial Red Cross Association, along with representatives of the Red Cross Associations of communes, sponsors, volunteers and more than 200 disadvantaged households and poor students overcoming difficulties in the district.

At the launching ceremony of Humanitarian Month, many meaningful gifts were given to share difficulties with the people. Specifically, the Red Cross Association of Bac Binh district awarded 45 scholarships, each worth 500,000 VND and a special scholarship worth 1,500,000 VND to disadvantaged but studious students; 30 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to poor households; 10 million VND to support house building for a household with particularly difficult circumstances in the locality.

In particular, the program also organized a “Humanitarian Market” with 17 booths providing free essential goods such as rice, sugar, fish sauce... to 150 people in difficult circumstances. Each gift is worth 600,000 VND.

In addition, to recognize and express gratitude for the support of organizations and individuals in the movement "Humanitarian Tet - Spring At Ty 2025" and other volunteer activities, the Bac Binh District Red Cross Association awarded certificates of merit to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements.

The total value of the activities in the Launching Ceremony in Bac Binh district is estimated at 139 million VND. The event has profound humanitarian significance, associated with important occasions such as: the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day (May 8). This is a meaningful activity, not only providing material support but also contributing to spreading the spirit of mutual love in the community, clearly demonstrating the role of the Red Cross Society in humanitarian work, contributing to caring for people's lives, especially vulnerable groups in society.
