APT, a music collaboration between Rosé (BLACKPINK) and American pop star Bruno Mars, officially reached 1 billion views on YouTube after just over 3 months of release.
With this impressive achievement, APT only took 105 days to reach 1 billion views, officially breaking Gangnam Style's record.
Gangnam Style was released by PSY in 2012, for the past 12 years this MV has held the record as the fastest Kpop music video to reach 1 billion views with 158 days.
APT currently ranks as the 5th fastest music video to reach one billion views in YouTube history, behind only Hello by Adele, Despacito by Luis Fonsi, Shape of You by Ed Sheeran and My Love by J Balvin and Willy William.
APT is a song in the album Rose, was released by Rosé in mid-October 2024. The song was inspired by the familiar Korean game and immediately took the world by storm.
Rosé just achieved another achievement with APT when it reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This is a new milestone for the song on this prestigious chart. APT debuted at number 8 and held that position for 10 consecutive weeks.
APT also took the No. 1 spot on the Global Spotify chart, making Rosé the first female K-pop solo artist to do so. Furthermore, she also became the first K-pop artist to surpass 50 million monthly streams, breaking the record held by BTS' Jungkook with 40.7 million.
Rosé and Bruno Mars performed the song live for the first time on the 2024 MAMA stage. She also appeared with Lady Gaga in Bruno Mars' new music video for Fat Juicy & Wet . Rosé also had a vibrant performance at Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes 2025, a charity concert hosted by French First Lady Brigitte Macron.
