Contemporary Ao Dai - Three regions converge

On the afternoon of June 26, at Kim Long Communal House (Kim Long Ward, Hue City), a photo exhibition with the theme "Contemporary Ao Dai - Convergence of Three Regions" took place.

The activity was organized by the People's Committee of Kim Long Ward in coordination with a group of designers from Hanoi - Hue - Ho Chi Minh City to respond to the Hue Community Ao Dai Week in 2024.

The exhibition "Contemporary Ao Dai - Convergence of Three Regions" displays and introduces to the public more than 30 photographic works by 15 authors about images of Ao Dai collections by designers from three regions of Vietnam.

The group of designers includes: Designer Nguyen Tri Long, Designer Vu Viet Ha, Designer Quang Huy, Designer Thanh Thuy, Designer Minh Minh, GenViet Jeans Fashion Company, Designer Nguyen Anh Tuan, Designer Viet Hung, Designer Viet Bao, Designer Ella Phan, Designer Quang Hoa, Designer Tran Thien Khanh, Doan Trang Embroidery Company, Ve Mien Huong Ngu Company. These are all individuals and units with names in the field of ao dai design.

Within the framework of the exhibition, people and visitors can also admire the Ao Dai fashion show featuring excerpts from collections inspired by the culture of Hue's craft villages by designers: Nguyen Tri Long, Urban Sketcher Hanoi, Viet Bao and Ve Mien Huong Ngu Agency.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province, said that this is one of many activities of the Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2024 that has promoted its effectiveness when targeting the main beneficiaries, the community in general.

Through this activity, not only does it help people and tourists approach and understand more about Ao Dai, thereby cherishing and appreciating the traditional Ao Dai - "National Costume" in particular, but it also contributes to educating love for the traditional cultural values ​​of the nation; at the same time, contributing to promoting culture, attracting tourism, and developing the socio-economy of the locality and the country.
