Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Hoang Manh Ha - Editor-in-Chief of the Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper said: Recently, Vietnam has witnessed severe heat waves, unusual floods and saltwater intrusion in the Mekong Delta... Abnormal and extreme weather phenomena have also occurred in many places around the world. There are many signs that the climate crisis is taking place. Scientists also warn that countries and citizens on Earth need to join hands in the fight against climate change.

Like many countries in the world participating in the fight against climate change, the Vietnamese Government has made a strong commitment at the COP26 and COP27 meetings with the goal of moving towards zero net emissions by 2050. To make the goal a reality, the climate change strategy was issued in 2022. Among the goals, climate change communication is an important content, contributing to disseminating knowledge, policies and decisions of the Government, as well as updating information and inspiring stories about initiatives and efforts to combat climate change.
