Alvarez denies losing teeth in Man City

Julian Alvarez confirmed that the black marks on his teeth were just blood clots after Man City beat Bournemouth 6-1 on the evening of November 4.

In the 33rd minute, while celebrating Man City’s second goal, Alvarez revealed a black mark on his teeth. When Bernardo Silva noticed, the Argentine striker put his hand to his mouth and looked surprised. This image made many fans think that Alvarez had lost a tooth.

However, after the match, Alvarez confirmed that it was just a blood stain. He took a photo showing off his intact teeth with the caption: "All still in order."

Alvarez played from the start of the match on the evening of November 4. Erling Haaland left the field right after the first half, due to injury. However, other players replaced the Norwegian striker to help Man City win big. Jeremy Doku opened the scoring in the 30th minute, before assisting four goals for Bernardo Silva in the 33rd, 83rd minutes, Manuel Akanji in the 37th minute and Phil Foden in the 64th minute. In the 88th minute, Oscar Bobb assisted Nathan Ake to seal a 6-1 victory. Bournemouth only managed to get one goal back, thanks to Luis Sinisterra in the 74th minute. In January 2022, Man City spent only $18 million to buy Alvarez from Argentine club River Plate. In the 2022-2023 season, the 23-year-old striker scored 17 goals in 49 matches for the English team, winning the treble of Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup. Earlier this season, he continued to impress with seven goals in 14 matches.

Alvarez also scored four goals and won the 2022 World Cup. At the age of 23, the striker has played for just over a year in Europe and has won almost every title at club and international level, including six with River Plate, four with Man City and three with Argentina.

Man City are currently top of the Premier League, with 27 points from 11 games. Alvarez's team are one point ahead of second-placed Tottenham, having played one game more. If they beat Chelsea on 6 November, Tottenham will regain the top spot.
