Agribank officials inspect the loan project to develop experiential tourism of Tam Huong Cooperative (Na Hang).
With 150 million VND of capital from Agribank, Mr. Dang Xuan Cuong, Dao ethnic group, Khau Trang village, Hong Thai commune has realized his dream, turning his mixed garden into a destination for tourists inside and outside the province. Mr. Cuong shared: 5 years ago, he borrowed 150 million VND from Agribank to invest in renovating the mixed garden. Instead of planting traditional trees, he bought hybrid pear varieties from the Vietnam Institute of Crops to plant. The hybrid pear tree has a characteristic of beautiful blooming flowers, pure white flowers, and pear flowers last for a long time. After only 2 years of planting, the pear tree bloomed. When spring comes, in the middle of the majestic mountains and forests, a whole forest of more than 2,000 pear trees of his family compete to bloom, attracting thousands of tourists inside and outside the province, even foreign tourists to admire. This year's pear blossom season, the pear garden welcomed tens of thousands of visitors, with 30 thousand VND/ticket/person, the family earned hundreds of millions of VND - Mr. Cuong smiled with satisfaction.
In the same Khau Trang village, also thanks to capital from Agribank, Ms. Ban Thi Thuong has also become the owner of Mac Cop Homestay, bringing in tens of millions of VND in revenue each month, creating jobs for 5 local workers. According to Ms. Thuong, she borrowed 500 million VND from Agribank to renovate her family's stilt house, and at the same time build more bungalows to welcome tourists to stay and experience the culture of the Dao people in the area.
Mr. Ha Quang Nhat, Deputy Director of Agibank Na Hang Transaction Office, said: Agribank Na Hang especially prioritizes capital for eco-tourism projects with high sustainability, associated with environmental protection and promoting indigenous cultural values. These projects often focus on exploiting natural tourism potentials such as forests, rivers and lakes, while also focusing on building community tourism products, agricultural tourism, and experiential tourism. In Na Hang district alone, 437 billion VND has been disbursed to develop production and business, including community tourism and eco-tourism projects.
Not only providing capital, Agribank also accompanies businesses and communities in the process of building and developing ecotourism projects. The bank provides consulting support, guidance on loan procedures, and shares financial management experience, helping investors improve operational efficiency.
Comrade Ma Quy Don, Vice Chairman of Na Hang District People's Committee affirmed: Thanks to the support of Agribank, many eco-tourism projects in the area have achieved positive results, contributing to creating jobs for local people, promoting socio-economic development and environmental protection.
In the coming time, Agribank Na Hang will continue to expand preferential credit programs, diversify financial products and services, to better meet the capital needs of ecotourism projects. The bank will also strengthen coordination with state management agencies and social organizations to create a comprehensive ecosystem to support the development of the ecotourism industry in the area - Mr. Ha Quang Nhat, Deputy Director of Agribank Na Hang Transaction Office affirmed.
As a financial “midwife”, Agribank Na Hang is making an important contribution to realizing the goal of developing sustainable ecotourism in the mountainous district of Na Hang, bringing economic, social and environmental benefits to the province.
