ANTD.VN - In response to information spreading on social networks about leaders gambling and transferring money abroad, Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB) has just denied it.
In the announcement, ACB said it had received information about a number of individuals taking advantage of social networks to livestream and post fabricated and false information about ACB leaders gambling and transferring tens of millions of dollars abroad...

According to ACB, this fabricated information has seriously violated the dignity, honor, rights and legitimate interests of the leaders and negatively affected the image and reputation of ACB.
In particular, this false information also risks causing confusion and panic among the public, negatively affecting the financial and monetary security of the finance and banking sector in Vietnam.
ACB has collected all posted and disseminated false information in accordance with legal procedures to report the incident to competent management agencies for handling in accordance with the law.
"As a leading bank in risk management, ACB always affirms transparency, safety and high responsibility in all activities to ensure the interests of customers, shareholders and partners," ACB affirmed.
Along with ACB's announcement, on the blue-ticked Facebook page of Mr. Tran Hung Huy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACB Bank, also shared this announcement with the status line: "Near Tet, there are so many things to do at home... suddenly there is more work to do. Everyone, please be aware of the information to avoid being negatively affected."
Previously, a famous social media account named Ms. NPH livestreamed about ACB leaders gambling and transferring money abroad, causing a stir in public opinion.
Regarding ACB's business activities in 2024, stability was recorded. In the first 9 months of the year, the Bank achieved pre-tax profit of VND 15,335 billion, an increase of 2.1% over the same period last year.
By the end of September, ACB's total assets stood at VND777,392 billion, up 8.2% compared to the beginning of the year. The bank's outstanding credit stood at VND554,908 billion, up 13.8% compared to the beginning of the year, while customer deposits increased by only 6.1%, reaching VND512,124 billion.
Regarding asset quality, ACB's bad debt balance (from group 3 to group 5) at the end of the third quarter was VND8,275 billion, up nearly 50% compared to the end of the previous year, bringing the bad debt ratio up from 1.21% to 1.49%. Of which, the debt balance with the possibility of losing capital (group 5) increased by 55% compared to the same period last year, from VND3,898 billion to VND6,064 billion.
