The 6th Press Award on cultural development and building elegant and civilized Hanoians - 2023 organized by the Hanoi Party Committee has attracted the attention of many Central and Hanoi press agencies.
At the meeting, the preliminary jury of the award worked with an objective and impartial spirit to evaluate and select quality works to participate in the final round. The award was organized to select typical press works to promote cultural development and build elegant and civilized Hanoians.

In 2023, 39 press agencies and units submitted 292 entries in various categories: print, electronic, radio, and television. Press agencies and reporters have correctly understood the Hanoi Party Committee's policy on cultural development, building elegant and civilized Hanoians; proactively and actively following the grassroots reality to promptly reflect the results of this work in localities and units.
On that basis, good practices and models are discovered to be commended and shortcomings, violations, existing problems and limitations are criticized. The preliminary council is divided into 2 sub-committees to select quality works for the final round. The final round of press works will take place from August 27 to September 9, 2023.
Of the total 292 entries, some violated the rules (1 author had his own name, submitted more than 3 entries), the Secretariat filtered and eliminated 23 entries (mostly electronic newspapers). Thus, 269 entries were eligible to participate.
The preliminary jury reviewed and selected 79 excellent works to present to the final jury, including 21 print works, 39 electronic works, 18 radio and television works and 1 photojournalistic work.
The announcement and award ceremony of the 6th Press Award for Cultural Development and Building Elegant and Civilized Hanoians - 2023 is expected to be held in early October 2023 on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
